Don Larsen voted No. 18 on List of 20 Greatest Individual Athletic Achievements

Forbes.com has compiled a list of the 20 greatest individual athletic achievements over the past 150 years. A panel of experts put together a list of candidates, which was then voted on by Forbes experts, editors and readers to establish the top 20 achievements. Don Larsen was among the top 20, voted No. 18 for pitching the first and only perfect game in the World Series.

from judges
when they are believed to have performed the "perfect" routine.
Many wonder if anyone can actually be perfect. Surely these participants
could have nailed their landing better, or done something to make the
routine even better.
In baseball, perfection comes few and far between,
and can only be measured by the numbers in the scorecard. On October
8, 1956, Don Larsen was just that. He was perfect.
