to 1966) with the Bears.
- Finished his career with 3 strong seasons for the expansion
New Orleans Saints.
- The Cleveland Browns made Atkins the #1 pick in the
1953 NFL draft out of the University of Tennessee.
- Retired in 1969 having played in more games (205) than
any other lineman (since broken).
- Elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
