HIGHLIGHTS He led the National League in putouts record seven times. He holds the National League record for lifetime putouts with 2291. He played for 17 years and hit over .300 10 times. He had a lifetime batting average of .320. He had 100 or more RBIs seven times in his career. In 1929, he struck out only seven times in 540 at bats. He struck out only 278 times in 7559 at bats. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1948. |
